சித்திரவதையால் பாதிப்புற்றோருக்கான சர்வதேச தினமான ஜூன் 26 ஆம் திகதி இலங்கை மனித உரிமை ஆணைக்குழுவினால் “புனர்வாழ்வு பணிகள் சித்திரவதைக்குள்ளாக்கப்பட்டவர்

களின் உரிமை” என்ற கருப்பொருளில் நிகழ்வொன்று நடாத்தப்பட்டது. சித்திரவதைக்கு எதிரான சர்வதேச சட்டங்கள் பற்றியும் கொடூர சித்திரவதைகளது பாரதூரங்கள் குறித்தும் விளக்கமளிக்கும் மற்றுமொரு நிகழ்வும் அண்மையில் இடம்பெற்றது.

  1. MY father committed suicide because he did not have good childhood and good education. My mother was raped and killed by Indian peace keeping forces since she was staying at home when they moved into our village.So my mother was also tortued and killed by the Indian peace keeping forces. Where I go and express my pain and grief? Who caused it? Why was it caused?

    Who has to belong to ruling class? Why ethnic minorities have been discriminated by the Srilankan government? Is it real discrimination or winning approach to be the best in the world?

    Who understood the overall picture? Who was able to see the whole process in a big picture?

    Why did Tamils show resistance all the time for peaceful solution?

    I would like to know the answers.

UNP MP, Karu Jayasuriya says that an act of intimidation by a govt minister against the Magistrate of Mannar to change a verdict and an unsuccessful attempt by the same Minister to transfer the Magistrate, clearly indicates the evil effects of the present administration and that the country is heading towards anarchy.
