Colombo to host South Asia’s first broadband communications congress in Sept

The First South Asia Broadband Congress and Expo will be held in Colombo from September 4 to 6. The event will address the fast growing market of 7 countries located in South Asian – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The congress is co-organized by Technology Networking International (TNI), Sri Lanka Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in direct collaboration with the governments and chambers of commerce agencies of the other countries in the region.

The leaders of major carries and service providers in the region are invited to address their current broadband infrastructure service deployment status and future plans.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa, will open the congress.

TNI Chairman of South Asia Broadband Communications Congress 2007 Dr. Zoran Miljanic said the event presents unique opportunity to meet government officials, service provider representatives, potential channel partners, and major enterprise customers and to present the technology solutions, services and products of your company.

You will also have the opportunity to hear about the ongoing broadband developments and demands from the service providers in the region as well as to be informed about the current regulation status and efforts.

We are seeking conference speakers to address the South Asia broadband infrastructure and service deployment, regulation, solutions in the following areas:

Emerging Communication Paradigms and Network services:- VoIP instant messaging, presence, IPTV and video network architectures, Triple play, Video on demand, VoIP services, Video conferencing, Peer-to-peer networking applications, Web-portals as telecom services portals, Ethernet over IP/MPLS service delivery platforms, SSL VPN, Interactive services, Differentiated services for SME, Open source software and new business models of telecom services.
